Göttingen: Theater (1834) Country: Germany (Deutschland) State: Niedersachsen City: Göttingen Location: Wilhelmsplatz Built 1820-1824 as ballroom and concert restaurant "Restauration" by Christian Friedrich Andreas Rohns. 1834 south wing converted to a theatre. Theatre destroyed by fire on 10 Jan 1887. [1895 converted to a restaurant ("Kaiserhallen"). Since 1922, used as a student cafeteria ("Mensa").] (English)
