Built 1854 as Landport Hall. 1856 converted into a theatre. 1884 major rebuilding by C. J. Phipps. 1900 major rebuilding by Frank Matcham. From 1932, also used as a cinema. Closed 1966. Stagehouse destroyed by fire in 1972. Gradually refurbished until 2015. 667 seats. (English)
