    Pour les portants (fig. 91), les écrans de gélatine au lieu d'être parallèles l'un à l'autre dans le sens vertical, étaient superposés et glissaient sur deux tiges verticales. Une corde passant sur une poulie les entrainait tous d'un même mouvement. A l'état normal, ils dégageaient les lampes; en tirant plus ou moins la corde on amenait devant elle les écrans rouges ou les écrans bleus. (French)

    For the wing lights (fig. 91), instead of being parallel to each other in the vertical direction, the gelatine screens were superimposed and slid on two vertical rods. A cord passing over a pulley moved them all at the same time. In their normal state, they cleared the lamps; by pulling the cord more or less, the red or blue screens were brought in front of them.
