It took seven years to deliver the machine due of the second World War, where Kortrijk was more or less in the centre of the batle field. (English)

The machine has some rope guides on the side of the drum. There are severla theses on what they could be used for: remote control, where the machine is on the bridges, but controlled from the ground floor; connecting two machines (the theatre has a similar wind machine); changing the sound by letting a rope slip in the guides; or controling the machine with pedles or a bike like control for long scenes.
